Patrol Division Lieutenant
Lieutenant Josh Moore started his law enforcement career with the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office in 2005 and served under Sheriff Richard Webster. In January 2007 he was hired as a Siler City Police officer by Chief Lewis Phillips. Lieutenant Josh Moore was promoted to Master Officer by Chief Gary Tyson and then transferred to the Traffic Division where he served on the Governor’s Highway Safety Program and worked with multiple agencies on a DWI Task Force. Lieutenant Josh Moore was then promoted to Patrol Sergeant by Chief Jean Miller. Lieutenant Josh Moore was promoted to Patrol Lieutenant by Chief Brian Regan in 2024. Lieutenant Josh Moore is a certified Taser Instructor, Peacekeeper Instructor and Certified Glock Armorer for the department. Lieutenant Josh Moore currently supervises the Patrol Division and its daily operations.
