General Information

We mail bills the first of every month. We are not responsible for the Postal service failure or delay in the delivery of bills. Please make sure we have your correct mailing address. If not, complete the Address Correction form below and return to us.

Any check or bank draft returned for insufficient funds or any other reason will be assessed a $25 return check charge and the account will be subject to immediate disconnection of service.

Any dispute or request for adjustment of a water bill should be made by the 15th of the month to insure time to investigate.

Illegal tampering with water meters will result in fines and/or removal of water meter and disconnection of water service.

Payment may be made by credit/debit card on the Town of Siler City website at PAY BILL ONLINE. You will need your account number, service address zip code and PIN# found on the front of your bill. There is a $3.00 fee for this service.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

Bills are due on the 15th of every month and payable upon receipt. A $5.00 late fee will be added on the next business day if the account is not paid in full by 5:00pm on the 15th. Bills are considered delinquent if payment of any "Balance Forward" is not received by 5:00 pm on the 5th of the month. A $25.00 delinquent fee will be added to delinquent bills after 5:00pm and service will be disconnected (on the next business day) until the bill and all late fees are paid in full. No second notice will be sent. Please include you account number on your check.

Payment Methods

By Mail: PO Box 769, Siler City, NC 27344.

In Person: 311 N Second Avenue, Siler City. Please bring your bill with you.

Drop Box: Located at front driveway of City Hall for convenient drop off without having to come inside or night, weekends, holidays.

Bank Draft: Save time and postage. Sign up for bank drafting on the form on the back of your bill or in person at City Hall.

Payments left in drop box will be processed the following business day. Bank drafts—14th of each month.

Online Payment of Miscellaneous Fees (Inspections, Rentals, Recreation Fees, etc.)

Miscellaneous Fees can be made either online or by telephone through “Official Payments”.  You must call the Finance Office to receive a unique account number before making your payment.  Call 1-833-398-6729.  You must have the Siler City “Jurisdiction Code” 4334 and the account number assigned for your payment.  A nominal fee is charged by Official Payments for this service.
