Lieutenant Andrew Freeman

Patrol Division Lieutenant

Lieutenant A. “Drew” Freeman grew up in Siler City, NC and graduated from Jordan-Matthews High School.  He holds an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice Technology from Central Carolina Community College where he also attended Basic Law Enforcement Training.  He is a graduate of the Credible Leadership Program through the International Academy of Public Safety and has completed several other classes in law enforcement leadership and development. 


Lieutenant Freeman began his law enforcement career at the Fuquay-Varina Police Department in Fuquay-Varina, NC before returning to his hometown and joining the Siler City Police Department.  In his time at the Siler City Police Department, he has held the positions of Patrolman, Field Training Officer, Patrol Sergeant, and Lieutenant.  He was promoted to his current position of Lieutenant in November of 2019 where he is the Patrol Division Commander.  


Lieutenant Freeman is certified as a General Instructor, a Taser Instructor, a Fair and Impartial Police (FIP) Instructor, Firearms Instructor, and serves as the Field Training Coordinator for the department.
